On Saturday, June 27, Amberly and Kathy (me) attended a psychic seminar hosted by Carole Obley at the Open Mind book store in Sewickley, Pa. As soon as we walked in, Josh Groban's "To Where You Are" was playing and I took that as a sign that Bryan was definitely going to be there. There were 23 people in attendance and the seminar was an instructional meeting with impromptu readings given. Carole began by explaining about synchronicity and how when certain things occur over and over again, such as a butterfly appearing to you repeatedly when it didn't before, this is referred to as synchronicity and is not coincidence but a sign from your loved ones. She also mentioned lights flashing and phones ringing with no one there, both of which have occurred many times with us. She also said that she wasn't sure why she was discussing this but felt that it was specifically for someone there ... naturally, Amberly and I felt it was for us. Carole kept looking back in our direction (we were in the back row corner) and before she was finished with her talk, she looked right at me and said, "There is an older woman standing behind you with her hands on your shoulders. She is two generations back ... mom's side ... connected to an MAR name like Mary or Margaret ..." This was referring to my Grandma Irvine who is crossed, so I acknowledged that immediately. From there, she went on between Amberly and me and it lasted about 25 minutes! It was a most amazing reading but since there was no tape of the session, Amberly and I have tried to reconstruct it as best we can. So bear in mind that this is not an exact transcript but as close as we can guess it to be.

Carole: There is also another woman, a great aunt ...

Kathy: On which side?

Carole: Dad's side ... claiming something about a motherly influence or mother connection ...

Kathy: Yes, she was my godmother (referring to my Aunt Julie, my dad's aunt and my great aunt, who is crossed)

Carole: There are a lot of spirits behind you ... and there are a lot of girls in the family ... lots of women ... (very true ... I have four sisters, Mike has three sisters, my mother has 3 sisters, and Mike's mother had all sisters!)

Kathy: This is true.

Carole: (looking at Amber) ... I'm hearing RUTH ... Ruth is here ...

Amberly: Yes! My Grandma Ruth!

Carole: There is a man to her side ... her husband, your grandpa ... very old-fashioned. He sends their love to your Dad. He says he had a bad heart ... his words are, "I had a bad ticker!" You have lots of guardian angels ... there are two females behind you. There is a lady with her hair pulled up in a bun and a spinning wheel ... hair like yours.

Kathy: We're not sure who that would be ....

Carole: Well, you'll find out! Now they're mentioning a March connection ...

Kathy: Yes! My son's birthday ....

Carole: Well, he's here now ... he has a small to medium size dog with him ...

Us: Yes, Tupper! (our sheltie)

Carole: And there is a birthday coming up or just passed ... either the end of June or beginning of July ...

Amberly: Yes! My birthday is next week, July 2nd!

Carole: He is saying he has another male with him from his same generation ...

Kathy: Yes (his cousin Joe who passed a few years ago).

Carole: And you have a cat who is psychic ... your cat sees him ... he's actually seen his spirit within this past week ...

Kathy & Amberly: Oh my God!

Kathy: Just a few nights ago, our cat, Oreo, was meowing very late at night when we were trying to get to sleep. He only does that when he wants picked up and he was out in the hall outside Bryan's room. When he wouldn't stop, I yelled at him to shut up. He immediately stopped and I whispered to Mike that Bryan probably picked him up! (At this point, everyone there was talking all at once about how amazing this was)

Carole: He is also thanking you for the memorials you have done ... I'm going to leave you with that. Now moving to the front row ...

Carole then began with two girls in the front row and mentioned twins ... telling them she was getting twins on both sides ... here and crossed over. Amberly and I related to this as well but didn't say anything. Then she mentioned they were connected to an MAR name like Mary or Margaret. Again, this related to us but the two girls acknowledged the twins, so we kept quiet. But then Carole said she was getting a beach reference and a trip to the West Coast. At this point, I piped up and said, "I think Bryan's still here ... all of that is for us!" Then Carole began with us again ...

Carole: This makes sense for you? He's saying California ... there's a huge California connection ...

Kathy: Yes, that's for us! Bryan stayed on the beach in California a few summers back. Our family is taking a vacation in August to California to memorialize him ...

Carole: Ok ... he's definitely still here! (laughing). He wants you to know that he'll be with you on your vacation. He says you're going to see him.

Kathy: Yes, he's told me that too!

Carole: He also love to draw or paint. There is something that he drew that you had framed after he passed. It's in a place where you can go an look at it ...

Kathy: Yes! There are some pencil sketches that were found after he passed that are framed and in his room where we can see them.

Carole: He is saying that makes him very happy ... he's very pleased that you did that. He's very free there ... he's showing me a bicycle ... he likes to ride a bicycle in the mountains. He's very free and happy. I'm getting a DA name ...

Kathy: Here or there?

Carole: With him ...

Kathy: Not sure about that (A few days after this reading, one of Bryan's friends called us and mentioned that this week was the 3-year anniversary since the passing of one of their friends whose first name was Dave ... so we now feel that Bryan was letting us know that he is also with Dave.)

Carole: Amberly ... Bryan's telling me about a poem that you wrote for him ... he's saying he saw you writing it and that you were crying ... you read this poem at a memorial for him ... he wants you to know that it touched him emotionally.

Amberly: Oh my God! Yes, I did write a poem for him and read it at his birthday memorial service. I was asking him all day to come through tonight and acknowledge that he heard it ... (she was crying as she said this ... I hadn't even known that she had asked for him to validate this for her tonight!)

Carole: Wow ... you (speaking to Amberly) have very strong mediumistic abilities ... you should try to develop them.

At this point, we had been going on for about 25 minutes and I jokingly told Carole she was going to have to "kick him out" if she wanted to get to anyone else, so she laughingly did that. Several other people got readings as well and there were lots of references to things that could have been from Bryan again, including a reference to St. Patrick's Day and leprechauns and an Irish connection, all of which are strong signs for Bryan since he was born on St. Patrick's Day.

After people had left, I went up and bought Carole's book and as she was signing it for me, she said she was getting a huge Colorado connection to us. I told her that yes, my husband's mother's family all lived in Colorado now. She said that Bryan came through as a very advanced spirit ... his mission here was a teacher. I believe that wholeheartedly as he has taught us and all of his friends so much. All in all, it was an amazing session.
