These are copies of two postcards Bryan sent to us just before Thanksgiving from Washington County jail in 2003. He had expected to be home with us but was instead sent to Allegheny County jail for charges we had filed months before to get him off the street and save him from drugs. We thought the charges had been dropped but they popped up when Washington County tried to release him. Bryan's faith in God and his positive outlook shines through even in the face of such disappointing news. As it turned out, we were not able to get him out of prison until December 11th.
