This page is to document the many "signs" and "visits" that Bryan has made to us since his passing ... miracles to those of us who have received them. The one thing that makes these miracles more than just coincidences is the "feeling" that comes over you when these occur. Everyone has expressed the same sensation of warmth, peace, and love that flows through you when they happen and the "knowing" that you are experiencing a true miracle. Unfortunately, this feeling cannot be captured on paper, yet it is so strong and so overwhelming that it makes the occurrence believable beyond a doubt. Keep that in mind when reading these because that feeling happened to each person for every one of these instances ... and as we heard three times from different sources within the first two days of his passing ...

Cris bought Kristen a little Pomapoo puppy for her graduation present. I gave him a wind-up alarm clock to put in the puppy's cage to help it sleep. Although I was very careful NOT to wind up the alarm portion -- this was an antique type clock that had no batteries and was strictly key wound -- the clock's alarm went off in the middle of the night around 3 a.m. That same clock has been beside my bed for over a year and never went off ... how it went off this morning is truly mystifying. They weren't sure of the exact time, but I'd almost bet it was Bryan and the time was around 3:17!
When I was swimming a few days ago, I was having a "moment" where I was just thinking of Bryan and missing him especially much. Tears just filled my eyes as I thought about him. Suddenly a little ball of fluff came gently drifting down to the pool's surface and just landed lightly on the water's surface. It looked like a little ball of what we called "Santa Clauses" as kids ... some kind of seeds on white silky stuff but this was a perfectly round cluster of many of them and it looked like a spirit orb. It came down light as a feather and landed right in front of me. I felt so strongly that it was from him. Later, when I went over to my new sink that we just installed in the backyard on the pool deck, there was a feather lying on the patio right beneath it.

Tonight I received two Mother's Day cards in my email ... and the first one had a blue butterfly!! I knew Bryan would find a way to send me something and this was just too perfect.
While I haven't put many entries in here this month, we have still been receiving all of our usual signs via hawks, coins, feathers, and so on. I just don't write in every little sign that we receive so as not to be repetitious.
Sunday, May 14 - MOTHER'S DAY
Today was Mother's Day and I woke up really, really early in anticipation of the day. We had a family brunch at the Grand Concourse with two of my sisters and their families and my mom. Amberly and Brendan came but Cris was away. Many times in the past, Bryan has "channeled" messages through Amberly. About a week ago, she was riding in the car with Brendan when she began receiving a poem from Bryan that she immediately knew was a poem for me for Mother's Day. She claims she was writing the words faster than she could think them ... they were literally flying onto the paper from her mind. Here is what she wrote in my message from Bryan:
Mom ~
I love you more than words could say
I swim with you every day
I hear your words every time you pray
I hope you're filled with love this Mother's Day
I give you signs in every way
I'm always near, never far away
Please feel my hugs on this special day
And I hope you always hear me say:
I love you, Mom, every single day.
I do swim every day and I often feel his spirit there with me. I also pray to him in his room every morning when I wake up and before I go to bed at night. Every single day. Amberly didn't even know this! It's amazing to me that she receives these messages from him but I'm not really surprised. She is very intuitive and they were very close, so it makes sense that he would do this.
Another amazing sign I got today was from Darlene. She gave me a Mother's Day card with a beautiful blue butterfly on the outside and the inside. It was a card she printed herself from the American Greetings website that she joined. It allows you to select cards and personalize them and then print them on your own computer. The card was sweet but what made it amazing and a sign from Bryan was that she said when she searched the site last night for any Mother's Day card with a butterfly, all she found were orange or yellow or pink butterflies. No blue ones. She says that after searching for over 45 minutes, she gave up and didn't print anything. This morning, before we went to brunch, she logged on one last time and typed in Mother's Day in the search field. She really didn't expect anything different because she'd already been through them all last night. But something made her do it. The first card that popped up was a B:LUE BUTTERFLY Mother's Day card! With a matching blue butterfly envelope! She knew it was Bryan's way of getting a card to me through her. I love it!!
Sherry felt that she received a sign from him the other night. She woke up in the middle of the night and -- she has a clock that projects the time on the ceiling -- when she opened her eyes, the numbers "3:17" were glowing on the ceiling. She immediately thought of Bryan and let me know of her special hello from him.
Thursday, May 18
This evening I had to go on a house call to look at some antiques with my partner Ed. The house we went to was just gorgeous with lots of antiques displayed everywhere. We were admiring several items on a lighted shelf when I noticed a beautiful tray with a blue butterfly done in real butterfly wings displayed on the back wall. I pointed it out to Ed who knows all about Bryan's use of blue butterflies for me. At that exact moment, the little spot light that was shining on that section of the display case blinked off and on. The man immediately said something like, "Did I just have a momentary blackout or did that light just blink off?" We both said that it was the light, to which he replied how odd that was as it had never done that before. Ed and I just looked at each other and I said quietly to him, "I know why it did that! Bryan is here with us!" and I really felt he was. After that, there were several butterfly items and images throughout the house. It was pretty neat!
Monday, May 29
Today we had a "poolwarming" party to start off the summer season. As I was getting things ready around the pool deck, a beautiful dragonfly came buzzing around. I tried to get someone's attention to see it, but it flew off before I could get anyone. I have never seen a dragonfly in our yard before and I felt it was a sign that Bryan was with us. The weather was absolutely perfect and, according to the weather channel, an extremely rare day. The temperature was over 90 degrees and there wasn't a cloud in the sky! In the history of Pittsburgh, I can't remember another Memorial Day like it and I believe we set a high temperature record that day. Everyone was commenting about how lucky we were -- particularly since we had like 12 days of straight rain last week -- but I knew we had divine intervention. Bryan made sure that our day was perfect! We couldn't have asked for more and we knew we owed it to him.
